Let us dig in and try to get a fair impression of the Ninja Express Chop.

How Does It Work?

To start with, you need to understand how to go about using it. You will find it not only minces but also is good for grinding, chopping and blending a well. So this is not just an ordinary conventional chop is it? Ho do you operate the Ninja?  Very easily. With a single touch of the pulse control, the Ninja NJ110GR express chop seems to be a well-designed product. Its uses include working with garlic, onion, herbs, spices, meat and most other kitchen ingredients that need chopping, blending, or dicing to perfection for your culinary adventures.

What You Get With Your Ninja Chopper

The Ninja Express Chop NJ110GR comes with a 200-watt motor that has been ergonomic designed and is very easy to use.  Included with the set is a dual blade that is fairly easy to clean and remove.  Additionally it includes a convenient 3-cup container that is BPA free and dishwasher safe. Finally a lid is included allowing you to blend and run.  This makes the Express Chop perfect for a quick smoothie in the morning.

What Do People Think About It?

When it comes to its competition, the Ninja’s price range is fairly competitive.  Additionally, it offers very similar features to most choppers on the market.  But, the has received great customer reviews overall.  This helps set it apart and make it a really good option.

The Good

You will notice that more than 74% of  it’s 10,000 plus customer reviews have given the product 5 out of 5 stars.  That is fairly impressive results for something that basically just spins. This seem to be a good indicator of the Ninja Express Chops performance and durability.

The Bad

To begin with, some customers have experience problems with operating the chopper.  Many of the bad reviews seem to be related to issues with it’s quality and durability.  While these concerns need to be acknowledged, the overwhelmingly positive reviews seem to contradict any of these concerns. Additionally. there is also a slight issue with the top being closed. Many of us are used to adding food into the top while the blender is running.  This is basically how you work with a food processor.  However Ninja NJ110GR Express Chop is not a food processor.  The top is  closed and you cannot add more stuff into without stopping it.  If this will be an issue for you, then you may want to consider a food processor like the Hamilton Beach 10-Cup Food Processor 70730. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! One final note, there were also concerns with it’s puree performance.  As such most customers would rather stick to chopping and blending rather than puree.

The Ugly?

While many owners find the product to be solid and reliable, there were some issue which we felt would be considered really bad.  The first and probably biggest issue revolves around the warranty and replacement of a defective unit.  While the manufacture honors the warranty they provide, the product must be shipped back at the owners expense.  Many owners have reported that the shipping fee at $19.99 which is typically the cost of a new unit.  So at the end of the day, you are probably better off buying a new unit should you need to utilize the warranty. Another somewhat common and serious issue has stemmed from reports of food getting stuck in between the gear and the motor.  These lodged food particles are very difficult to get out.  Additionally these particles are getting stuck in the part of the unit that is not supposed to be in water.  This could cause health concerns later one.  If you should experience this issue, I would suggest trying to find and fine brush to try and remove any food particles that may get stuck in there.

So, all in all the appears to be decent product that is available on a competitive price. You will find that it helps you bring a lot of good stuff to your  table. So, if you are looking for a gift for that cook you know or looking for a versatile chopper, this is a good low-cost contender. Please let us know what you think of the Ninja Express Chop!
